Wendy G. Hernandez was born on December 24, 1979 in Escuintla, Guatemala, and went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on November 12, 2021. Wendy is survived by her four daughters: Leslie, 24; Bianca, 16; Sophia, 7; and Camila, 3.; sister and brother-in-law, Nelly and Alfredo Uribe; nephews, David and Cristian Uribe; brother, Genaro; nephew David Mendoza; as well as her mother, Elsa Mendoza. Wendy is preceded in death by her brother, David, in 1990. Wendy was an early graduate from Stephen F. Austin High school - earning her diploma in 3 years instead of 4. She worked at Texas Children's hospital for 23 years, most recently working in the Department of Surgery as a Unit Operations Coordinator. She was a very passionate, hard worker, consistently going over and above her duties in order to provide the highest quality of care to patients. She was a devoted mother and a loving friend to those around her. Wendy spent her free time with her family traveling and making fun memories. No one who ever met Wendy forgot her infectious passion for life! Wendy was the glue that held her family bonds close together. She was a natural caregiver to all she loved; a mother figure to many, and always offered advice and a helping hand when needed. Wendy was the life of the party, enjoyed dancing, and will be sorely missed by those who knew her. Her untimely departure has left many broken hearts in mourning. Wendy had many plans and goals, as well as a recent bucket list that she looked forward to completing. Heaven was ready for you, even though we were not ready to say goodbye. Funeral services will be held at Felix H. Morales Funeral home on Friday, November 26, 2021 beginning at 4pm with a Rosary Service at 6pm. On Saturday, November 27th funeral procession will begin at Morales funeral home at 11:30am with rite of committal at 1pm at Santa Teresa Cemetery. A Wendy le antecede en la muerte su hermano, David, en 1990. Wendy se graduó temprano de la preparatoria Stephen F. Austin y obtuvo su diploma en 3 años en lugar de 4. Trabajó en el hospital Texas Children's durante 23 años, y más recientemente trabajó en el Departamento de Cirugía como Coordinadora de Operaciones de la Unidad.
