As a young man Ruben loved shooting pool, playing the drums, eating at Princess Hamburgers, and building hot rods. Ruben had a passion for Harley Davidsons and classic hot rods which eventually lead him to become a founding member of the motorcycle Ministry, Riders for the Lord. This is where he was able to combine two of his greatest passions, Jesus Christ and riding his Harley's while providing Ministry to fellow bikers. Later in life he enjoyed attending church, riding his Harley, ministering to others and going on runs with fellow bikers. He also loved restoring classic cars, taking his wife, daughter, and later his grandsons to eat as a family. Ruben was a true servant of the Lord who helped so many during the many years he worked as a wrecker driver on the streets of Houston, TX. He gave his life to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, and he also helped lead many others to the Lord. Known as "Wrecker Ruben" to many he was always there to help family, friends and many times total strangers who needed help when they were having car trouble. While working as a wrecker driver Ruben was known to always be there to back up police officers who needed help and did so on more occasions than most can remember. Ruben was married to Jerry Rodriguez for 29 years. They had one child Katherine Irene Rodriguez. He was a loving brother, husband, father, uncle, loyal friend, and devout Christian who loved to help others. He was well known for his many acts of kindness. He could always be counted on by anyone he called a friend, or a brother. He always had an encouraging word to share and would pray for anyone that asked. He spread the word of God to anyone who would listen. Ruben is survived by his loving wife Jerry Rodriguez, Daughter Katherine Lucas, Grandsons Mason Remington and Colt Justice Huddleston, Sister Adela Cruz Hernandez (Husband Jesus), In-Laws Ralph and Jewel Rodriguez, Sister-In-Laws Anna O'Day (Husband Bob) Jennifer Cortez (Husband Tony), Janet Kirkpatrick (Husband J.
