Julia Gomez Lopez, age 75 of Houston entered into eternal rest on July 26, 2022. She was born on June 19, 1947 to Daniel Gomez and Juanita Perez in Kirby, TX. Our mom meant so much to so many people and she made everyone feel like they had their own special friendship and importance to her. When she was happy and healthy her love of life was clear in her smile, her laugh, and the joy she brought in the things she did from cooking to playing video games. When she was hurting in any way it made you want to do whatever you could to help ease and stop that pain. She was so very loved and everyone who came into her life's path is so very blessed to have known her. Our mom, friend, family member, will be missed, and though our hearts break, we find comfort knowing she is resting easy now in the hands of our Lord. Julia is preceded in death by Husband, Johnny C. Lopez, Son, Joe David Lopez, Father, Daniel Gomez, Mother, Juanita Perez. She is survived by her beloved family which includes her, Two Sisters, Anita Lopez, Roberta Rodriguez; Multiple Half Brothers and Sisters; Two Daughters, Jessica Ann Cardenas, Joanne Michelle Lopez; Three Grandsons, Stephen David Lopez, Benjamin Cardenas, Nathaniel Cardenas; Granddaughter, Amanda Renae Charles; Great-grandson, Jordan Aaron Walker; Son-in-law, Alexander Cardenas; Multiple Nieces and Nephews, Multiple Compadres and Godchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 3, 2022, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, 9:00 am at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home. The Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery. Individuals at increased risk, sick or not feeling well should not attend the service.
