    November 8, 1956 - April 28, 2022

Jose "Mocho" Silguero Jr., age 65 of Manvel entered into eternal rest on April 28, 2022. He was born on November 8, 1956 to Jose and Bertha (Garza) Silguero in Friona, TX. Jose is preceded in death by his brother, Tony Silguero, sister, Gloria Silguero Villarreal, and brother-in-Law, Philip Valdez. He is survived by his beloved family which includes his wife, Berta Marie Silguero; Father, Jose Silguero, Sr.; Mother, Bertha (Garza) Silguero; son, Jose Silguero III (Alicia); daughter, Jessica Marie Rocha (Robert); daughter, Robin René Lucas (Rickey); son, James Richard Lucas, Sr. (Shirley Williams); two sisters, Suelma Valdez and Carmen Escalera (Fernando); brother, Javier Silguero (Sylvia); three sister-in-laws, Rena Graves (Beaux), Ellen Wilson (Dick), and Joyce West; brother-in-law, Billy Miller; five grandsons, Elijah Silguero, Aaron Silguero, Zeke Rocha, James Richard Lucas, Jr., and James Anthony Lucas; six granddaughters, Mia Silguero, Destiny Ortega, Aryana Silguero Rocha, Gabriela Rocha, Mila Rocha, and Savannah Owens; three great-grandsons, Noah Singleton, Ezra Singleton, and Kaiden Owens; great-granddaughter, Braylee Owens; numerous nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles, cousins, and friends. Joe loved to go to Galveston to watch ships come in and look at the waves. He loved sunsets, stars, the moon, birds and flowers. He would call me outside to look at the moon. He loved going to Crockett, riding old country roads with my brother and my son and brother-in-law. He loved life. He loved to go to Santa Rosa to visit his family. We would go into Mexico, he loved buying things there. He always wanted to get all our grandchildren together, never could. He loved seeing all of our grandchildren. He loved going to see our daughter Jessica and her children. He loved to go to Katy to see our sister Rena and Beau, her dog. He would take her flowers and Beau a ball or Joe played ball with Beau. Joe and I did not attend church but we both believed in God. and prayed to him. Joe and I would go for a drive, he was always looking for cows. We went cow hunting. Joe loved everyone, he especially loved children. He never understood why people just couldn't get along. I will miss him dearly. I love him so much. We had so many wonderful years together. 29 years. He loved to dance and so did I. He loved his home and family. He had everything he needed and was very thoughtful and considerate, willing to help in anyway if he could. I know he is in a better place, no more suffering from the dreadful disease he had, now he can rest in peace. I know you don't question God, but you wonder why. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 6, 2022, 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas.
