Jose "Joey" A. Huerta III

July 15, 1969 - June 15, 2022

Jose "Joey" A. Huerta, III, age 52 of Katy entered into eternal rest on June 15, 2022. He was born on July 15, 1969 to Jose and Gloria Huerta in Harlingen, TX. Joey Always tinkering with his toy drones, toy remote control cars, his '86 mustang and anything he could take apart. As a child he always took apart all his toys to see how they worked on the inside. He was such a kind soul with a heart of gold. He was always mischievous. If there was trouble it would always find him. He never judged anyone and always gave people the benefit of the doubt. He took anyone in as a friend and had a come as you are mentality. He loved his family dearly and would do anything for any of us. He was one of a kind and loved by all. I know he is rejoicing with his baby girl Alana and was welcomed with open arms. He will live on in all of us he leaves behind. Jose is preceded in death by his Daughter, Alana Annette Huerta, Grandfather, Jesus M. Martinez, Grandmother, Cristina C. Martinez, Grandmother, Esperanza Obregon, Aunt, Belinda Medrano, Aunt, Diana M. Lopez. He is survived by his beloved family which includes his Father, Jose Alfredo Huerta Jr.; Mother, Gloria Martinez Huerta; Son, Jose Alfredo Huerta, IV; Two Sisters, Cristina Lynnette Zamarripa (Robert Zamarripa), Elizabeth Huerta Marquez; Brother, Jose Aaron Huerta (Lisa Huerta); Partner, Gladys Rubin; Half Brother, Abel Huerta (Clara Huerta) and Half Sister, Lorena Hernandez (Juan Carlos Hernandez). Visitation will be held Monday, June 20, 2022, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, 11:00 am at Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Community located at 1530 Norwalk Dr, Katy, TX 77450. Rite of Committal will follow at Forest Park Westheimer. Individuals at increased risk, sick or not feeling well should not attend the service.
