    Jesus Tomaso Salazar

    July 13, 1958 - January 24, 2021

Jesus Tomaso Salazar also known as "Tommy" was born in Houston, Texas, on July 13th 1958, to father Luis Salazar and mother Tomasa Montaño Salazar. Tommy was a great father, a Popo, he was a loving and devoted husband. As many of you may know he was a big dog lover, he cared for his dogs Luger, Deuce, Carmelo, and Shelly. He loved reading the Bible early in the morning with a hot cup of coffee. Popo loved to spend time with his grandchildren, he was the greatest grandfather. Not only was he handsome but everyone always said how good he looked for his age. Tommy told the funniest stories at family gatherings and told them in the most interesting ways. He loved taking pictures for special occasions to remember all the good times he had with everyone. In July of 2015, Tommy's wife Dahlia "Mimi" found Popo on Facebook, they had their first date at Spanish Flower. After 40 years of long lost time, they were reunited and they picked up where they left off as teenagers in middle school. Popo and Mimi became one on February 2, 2018. He was a hard working son, father, and husband, in 2019 he proudly retired from Pearland Police Department after 10 years of service. On January 24, 2021, he was sent home. Tommy was survived by his father Luis Salazar and sisters, Rita Dehoyos, Lupe Martinez, brother Luis Salazar Jr., his wife Dahlia Salazar; children Jennifer Mamani and husband Gabriel Mamani, son Jonathan Salazar and wife Brenda Salazar, grandchildren Desirre Rivera, Breann Aguirre, Cassandra Garcia, Gabriel Mamani Jr., Mialicia Salazar and Jonathan Salazar Jr. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas. A Rosary will begin at 5:00 pm. Cremation will take place at a later date. For the safety of all guests, gatherings at our facility will be limited to 60 family members and guests. Individuals at increased risk, sick or not feeling well should not attend the service.
