Elvira Ann Youngblood

October 12, 1961 - June 11, 2022

Elvira Ann Youngblood entered into eternal rest on June 11, 2022. She was surrounded by her children and her family. Born October 12, 1961 in Houston, Texas to Frank and Josephine Barrientez. Elvira is preceded in death by her mother Josephine Barrientez, her grandmother Josephine Mares, and numerous aunts and uncles. Elvira is survived by her six children Josephine Marie, Billy Jr., Christopher, Elizabeth, Stephanie, and William. Additionally she is survived by her father Frank Barrientez, sisters Betty and Bobbie Jo, brother Frank Barrientez Jr., twenty three grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. "Vida" enjoyed knitting, crocheting and sewing. A loving, kind hearted, mother, sister, daughter and friend. Elvira devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, mother, father, sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, and so many more! Vida was always available to give comfort, love, a helping hand, or lend an ear. Elvira went out of her way to make everyone feel special. From baking individual cakes for valentines, to cooking special meals, to knitting and sewing baby blankets, and blankets for all of her loved ones. She devoted her time and love to her grandchildren supporting them in sporting and special events. She was truly a blessing to us all! We will cherish and honor the special memories she leaves behind. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 23, 2022, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas with a Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, 10:00 am at St. Patrick's Catholic Church - Houston, TX. Rite of Committal will follow at Hollywood Cemetery. Individuals at increased risk, sick or not feeling well should not attend the service.
