Diana Christine Mendioza, 32, died on the 21st of June, 2021 at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital after a valiant 8 month battle with cancer. She was taken care of by her family and long term boyfriend of 13 years, David Guye. Diana was born in Los Angeles, California on September 29, 1988 to Froylan and Oralia Mendioza. They moved to Houston in 1995, where she spent most of her remaining life. She's survived by her parents and 3 sisters, Leslie, Valeria, and Rachel, as well as a nephew, Sebastian, and niece, Olivia. She leaves behind her dog, Splinter and cat, Asha. She loved to create. She liked drawing, painting, knitting, and embroidery. She loved to read and she was an exceptional writer. She had an acute eye for art, and from a young age her tastes and interests deviated from the norm. She grew up to be a compassionate adult who believed in equal rights and fair treatment of all people. She loved animals, especially cats, and like a cat, she was curious, observant, and fiercely independent. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas with a Evening Service beginning at 5:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021, 10:00 am at Vision Celestial, 13706 Bandera St Houston, Texas 77015. The Interment will follow at Santa Teresa Cemetery. El velorio se llevará a cabo el jueves 1 de julio de 2021, de 5:00 pm a 8:00 pm en la funeraria Felix H. Morales, Houston, Texas, con un servicio vespertino a partir de las 5:00 pm.
