Alicia Barajas Garza

Alicia Gonzalez Garza, age 92 of Houston entered into eternal rest on December 26, 2021. She was born on June 13, 1929 in Gulf, TX. Alicia is preceded in death by husband, Manuel B. Garza; sons, Julius "Sonny" Gonzales and Joel Richard Nañez; daughter, Mara Joyce Hernandez; four brothers, Gudalupe Gonzales, Louis Gonzales, Frank Gonzales and Johnny Gonzales; four sisters, Angie Sanchez, Mary Juarez, Emily Cavazos and Helen Toney. She is survived by her three daughters, Cynthia Nañez Pacheco, Bertha Ramirez, Alice "Linda" Aus Mus. Alice "Licha" Garza was known by many in the Magnolia, Second Ward, Manchester neighborhood. She was a mom to six children, 21 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Margie Mendez and her brother Manuel Gonzalez, Jr. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022, 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Felix H. Morales Funeral Home, Houston, Texas. An Evening Service will begin at 6:00 pm. Cremation will take place at a later date. Individuals at increased risk, sick or not feeling well should not attend the service.
